Know Your Rights Against Swift Funds

Debt collection does not give Swift Funds Financial the right to harass or intimidate you. Under the FDCPA, excessive phone calls meant to pressure you into payment are illegal. Collectors also cannot make false threats about lawsuits, wage garnishment, or arrest to scare you. If you did not receive a written notice explaining the debt within five days of the first contact, your consumer rights may have been violated. You also have the right to control where you are contacted—once you request no calls at your workplace, they must comply. Swift Funds Financial cannot discuss your debt with anyone else, including family, friends, or coworkers. Any use of abusive language, threats, or intimidation tactics is strictly prohibited by law. If you recognize any of these behaviors, you may have legal options available at no cost to you.
